Frozen Archipelago Adventure

Overlooking the Islands of the Luleå archipelago, Brändön Lodge boasts an enviable coastal location that offers the perfect base to explore the frozen landscapes of Swedish Lapland. Here, guests can enjoy a range of winter activities in the surrounding forests and across the vast expanse of pack ice that blankets the frozen sea. After each day’s adventures, return to the lodge to savour delicious Lappish cuisine before retiring to the comfort and privacy of your cosy two bedroomed cabin.

Upon arrival in Luleå, you will transfer to Brändön Lodge and receive your winter clothing before settling into your welcoming cabin. The first and subsequent evenings conclude with a hearty two-course dinner, offering a fabulous introduction to the region’s culinary delights.

During your stay, venture into the forest on snowshoes to learn essential Nordic winter skills, valuable knowledge that enhances the rest of the Arctic experience. Excitement builds as transportation shifts to a husky-drawn sled, providing an exhilarating ride through snowy trails on a dog sled safari.

Another highlight is an excursion across the frozen sea by snowmobile-drawn sled for a chance to try ice fishing. If the fish are biting you may bring your catch back to the lodge for lunch!  As night falls, strap on your snowshoes once again and head out to dine under the stars, while keeping watch overhead for the magical northern lights.

Your final adrenaline-fueled safari takes you travelling at speed through the snow-covered forests or across the icy surface of Bothnian Bay by snowmobile. Each routes offer an exhilarating experience, you just have to choose the best route for you.

All good things must come to an end but as your journey concludes you are sure to depart Lapland with new friendships and cherished memories of an outstanding Arctic adventure.
