From Wilderness Hotel Nellim you can do just that, whether by snowmobile, husky drawn sled or under your own steam on a snowshoe safari and on this 4 night winter experience you have the chance to do all 3!! Enthusiastic and experienced guides with an outstanding knowledge of Lappish culture will ensure you make the most of the daily activities lined up for you.
During your stay you will have chance to venture out after dark to seek the spectacular aurora borealis. On one evening you will take a trip out to a wilderness cabin for a few key hours where uninterrupted vistas of the northern night skies await and, a second evening outing offers the opportunity to snowmobile after dark in search of the northern lights. If natures 'light show in the sky' puts on a performance, then this is surely one of the best places to experience this amazing natural phenomenon. Due to its far north-eastern location in Finnish Lapland, around 275 km above the Arctic Circle, your chances of seeing this magical display are greatly increased.
To maximise your chances why not spend your final night in an Aurora Cabin. These very special accommodations offer fabulous views to the Arctic night sky through the laser-heated glass ceiling, offering the ultimate in aurora viewing.
