Comfortable owner-run camp for exploring the wildlife remote outback

Introduction

Kangaluna Camp, situated on a private concession at the edge of the Gawler Ranges National Park, is built and run on ecological principles and offers the perfect respite for nature lovers and those wanting to escape the tourist trails.

Constructed from recycled materials the camp uses natural air flows for cooling and ventilation and captures rainwater naturally, all of which creates a rustic ambience in the most natural of settings.

Three large en suite safari tents have been designed in tune with the local environment, without compromising comfort, and feature hand crafted furnishings built from local mallee wood, designed by a well-known wildlife artist. Or, for a truly authentic outback experience the Swagon, built from an old horse drawn wagon, allows you to sleep under the stars in a swag.

An open-sided central dining room, provides a relaxing environment in which to sit back, enjoy authentic outback fare hosted by your guide and observe the local wildlife which is diverse and abundant in this environment.
